GaLaLea GbR offers teaching materials (print and digital) and courses (online and in person) for learning foreign languages.
All materials and courses are protected by copyright and are intended solely for the purchasers of our courses. Any distribution or resale will be prosecuted. Downloadable material is for personal use only.

The following General Terms and Conditions (T) outline how we conduct business with our customers.

Registration

When you register, you will receive a request to complete your profile within 72 hours. If the profile is not completed within this timeframe, your account will be deleted. Until the profile has been updated with at least your real name and address, you will not be able to book courses or purchase learning materials.

Please keep your access data safe, as you will not have access to your course or shopping cart without being logged in. If you lose your access data, please contact us and we will generate a new password for you, provided we can clearly identify you.

Payment Terms

Courses and teaching materials must be paid for in advance.

Our prices for private individuals in the EU include the value-added tax of the country in which the customer resides. Different rules apply to customers residing outside the EU, as well as to corporate customers.

We offer the following options to pay for your course or your purchases in the shopping cart:
1. PayPal: If you have a PayPal account, the amount will be debited from there according to your specifications.
If you do not have a PayPal account, you can still use this option and enter your bank account or credit card details there.
2. Direct Bank Transfer: Transfer the amount yourself from your bank account to the account specified on the invoice.

Delivery

Delivery or activation of access to your course will only take place after receipt of payment. For digital products, you will receive a download link in your account. In the case of book-on-demand products, these will be produced and shipped directly to you by the producer after payment.

Should your physical product arrive damaged due to transport handling this is the responsibility of the transport company commissioned by the producer. Please report such damage to us, and we will file a complaint with the producer on your behalf.

Warranty and Guarantee

The warranty for physical products covers the completeness and functionality of the product. Although we create our products with the greatest care, errors may occur. As soon as we become aware of errors, we correct them and submit the corrected print templates for production and delivery. If the error affects the completeness and/or functionality of the product, we will supply missing parts or send the new product free of charge.

GaLaLea GbR guarantees that our digital products are free of viruses and functional. However, it does not guarantee learning success in our courses or with our products. Learning success depends significantly on the participation of the learner, over which neither GaLaLea GbR nor the instructors have little influence.

Any problems with a digital product must be reported to us promptly. We will immediately endeavor to remedy the defect. If we are unable to remedy the defect within 14 days, we grant you a special right to withdraw from the purchase contract. If accepted you will receive a full refund of the purchase price.
If content errors have been corrected in a digital product, all customers who have purchased this product in the last 2 years will receive a new download link for a free download of the corrected product.

For online or in-person courses, the absence of the learner must be reported as soon as it becomes known.
In the event of course sessions being cancelled due to illness of the instructor, as a rule, cancelled course sessions will be made up after consultation with the instructor. If the course has a time limit, the time during which the course or materials are not usable does not count, and the duration of use will be extended accordingly.

Disclaimer

GaLaLea GbR is not liable for force majeure, which, for example, restricts internet use so that online courses cannot be held as planned or course material is inaccessible.

Right of Withdrawal

A purchase contract with GalaLea GbR is concluded upon booking a course or submitting an order for learning materials. The purchase contract only expires with a timely cancellation.

Course bookings can be cancelled within 14 days. Access to the course will then expire immediately and the price will be refunded. If you have downloaded materials, we expect you to delete them from all your devices. They are of no use to you without the course.

Digital products are excluded from cancellation, as they can be downloaded immediately after payment.

Print products must be sent back to GaLaLea at your own expense within 14 days to receive a refund of the purchase price. Defective goods must also be returned within 14 days for exchange.

Dispute Resolution

Purchase contracts with GaLaLea GbR are concluded and interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable in Germany. These General Terms and Conditions (T) were originally written in German; all versions in other languages are translations and, in case of doubt, are to be interpreted with reference to the original version.

Any disputes that may arise out of or in connection with a purchase contract shall be settled under the Rules of Arbitration of the International
Chamber of Commerce (ICC) by one or more mediators appointed in accordance with these rules. No result of the dispute resolution may be published.

Final Provisions

The invalidity of any individual provisions of these General Terms and Conditions (T) shall not affect the legal validity of the remaining provisions.
